Welcome to the Mechazoic Era

Earthcore Media’s newest venture, the Sci-Fi/Action short “Mechazoic” premiered on February 27th at the Illusion Magic Lounge theater in Santa Monica, California.

The premiere was attended by many of the talented cast and crew, including Maggie Roscher, Barron Brooks, Liam Cole, Trae Gonzalez, and Brian Detrick. Special guests included Kate Peytavin, whose song “all i do” was featured during the end credits.

Director, writer, editor, and visionary Eddie Possehl took to the stage to express his gratitude to everyone who attended and to those who helped him through the long and challenging journey of bringing “Mechazoic” to life.

Composer Trae Gonzalez shared his thoughts on the film shortly after the premiere, posting on Instagram:

“… this has been an amazing chance to make something great, bigger than ourselves—telling a story about overcoming the impossible and holding out until the very end…and saving the world from Dino’s coming back from the Mesozoic. Love you, Ed.”

Mechazoic debuted to reviews of mostly love and appreciation for the time taken to produce, the passion involved in doing so, and the huge undertaking it was for smaller creators and filmmakers to bring something like this to life.

The film can be streamed on YouTube for free and reviewed on Letterboxd and IMDb now.
